OTZMA is a 10-month, early leadership identification program for 10-26 year olds from North America. Participants are placed in challenging work sites throughout Israel where they gain a personal and meaningful understanding of and exposure to Israeli society. Applicants should be committed to learning about Israel and its people and be highly motivated individuals.

Goals of the program include:

To promote direct contact, personal relationships and mutual understanding between North American Jewish community and Israel
To provide participants with the opportunity to make a timely and meaningful contribution of service to Israel
To offer participants experiential and educational opportunities that foster a deeper understanding of Israel
To facilitate opportunities for the development of leadership skills and exploration of Jewish identity
Up to four participants will be awarded $3000 toward the program by the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland.
