PGP is a goal oriented program for teachers leading to accreditation, licensure, degrees or other appropriate goals developed in conjunction with the participant's supervisor.
PGP is a joint program of the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland and the Siegal College of Judaic Studies.

Program Goals

Through course study and guided practice, students will attain mastery of subject matter, increased pedagogic knowledge and expanded teaching skill.

Program Components
Study includes courses at the SCJS, JECC Jewish Educator Services Program (JESP) workshops, and approved attendance at conference, seminars in Israel, study under synagogue auspices and local college and university courses.

Eligibility
Teachers who indicate interest in professional growth and exhibit long term potential are eligible to participate in PGP. Candidates are required to obtain the endorsement of their school director and are approved by a joint JECC/SCJS committee.

Stipends
Generous stipends are available for program participants.
