Hebrew for All: A Jewish Education Center Initiative

The Jewish Education Center (JEC) is launching a new Hebrew education and cultural advocacy initiative called "Hebrew for All". The goal of this initiative is to bring the issue of Hebrew to the forefront of the Jewish educational agenda in Cleveland.  Given its role as an convener for educational agencies across the community, the JEC will serve as a hub of communal learning, collaboration, partnerships, and innovation around Hebrew education and cultural advocacy.  This initiative will begin by initially addressing these four areas:
  1. Advocacy of Hebrew language and culture
  2. Professional development for teachers of Hebrew in Jewish day schools and adult education
  3. Professional development for educators using Hebrew in congregational schools.
  4. Establishing a communal approach towards the recruiting and training of Hebrew teachers in Cleveland.
