The Etgar program provides supplementary religious education to Jewish students who are not able to learn in the regular congregational setting due to a variety of special needs. Etgar serves students, ages 6-21 years old, from a consortium of Cleveland synagogues.

Etgar classes, led by highly qualified special education teachers, provide the structure, materials and teaching format crucial for a successful religious school experience. The classes, held in several Cleveland synagogues, familiarize students with prayers, Jewish holidays, Hebrew vocabulary and the concept of tikkun olam. During the school year, Etgar offers programs made possible by special endowment funds.
