Mini-Courses

 

The JEC works in partnership with supplementary school educational directors to develop a variety of short courses ranging from 10 to 15 hours that reflect the needs of their faculty. Many of these courses are offered directly within specific schools.  The JEC provides financial support for these course by contracting with course instructors and providing stipends for those course participants who have completed a course. Courses do require a registration fee. Teachers also can receive CEUs for participating in these courses.

 

Courses are offered on a communal level to encourage collaborative learning and the sharing of resources that will help to benefit the entire community.  Some select courses are offered in conjunction with a local university or college to allow teachers to earn college credit for the purposes of teacher license renewal.  Course completion stipends are available for select courses.
