Marlyn Bloch Jaffe has been a key leader at the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland (JEC) for over 20 years. She began her career at the JEC as director of planning and evaluation, before advancing to the role of associate director and ultimately becoming executive director in 2021.

 

Marlyn’s extensive experience in Jewish communal work includes leadership roles at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, where she served as director of human resources development, director of government relations, and assistant planning director. She holds a B.A. in English from Yale University, magna cum laude, a Master of Nonprofit Organizations from Case Western Reserve University, and has completed her coursework for a Master of Arts in Jewish Education from Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
 
Marlyn is also a contributing author to Kaddish: Women's Voices, which received the 2013 National Jewish Book Award. A passionate advocate for Jewish education, Marlyn’s work continues to shape the future of Jewish life in Cleveland.
 
Marlyn and her husband Ari are the proud parents of three children (one in Cleveland and two in Israel) and grandparents of seven.
