Learning to Teach Hebrew to Second Language Learners
There are a variety of educational institutions dedicated to supporting educators teaching Hebrew to students as a second language. Educators who teach in JEC affiliated schools are entitled to receive subsidies. Below is a list of some of the programs that are available. Some programs may allow for independent auditing of courses.
- The Middlebury School of Hebrew Masters Program (consecutive summer learning only)
- Brandeis University: Master of Arts Degree in Teaching Hebrew (full-time program)
- JTS: Ivriyon - Hebrew Immersion Institute for Day School Educators (intensive summer program)
- WCJE Hebrew Teacher Training (including Proficiency Approach)
- The Mofet Institute's Online Certificate for Teaching Hebrew as a Foreign Language (online)
- University of Maryland Hebrew Pedagogy Program (full-time program)
