Israel Fellowship
The Albert B. Ratner and Jack & Esther Goldberg Israel Fellowship recognizes two outstanding teachers in Cleveland Jewish schools. One day school teacher and one supplementary school teacher will be awarded up to $3000 for advanced study in Israel. The award will help defray tuition and travel expenses for a two or three week seminar, summer program, semester, full-year program, or independent study. Travel and study plans must first receive prior approval from the JEC Director of Professional Development.
The recipient must use the award within a four year period.
Any teacher with a minimum of five years teaching in a JEC affiliated school is eligible to apply. With appropriate teaching credentials and a commitment to continue teaching for a minimum of two years, this teacher must display a positive impact on students as a role model.
