Ratner-Goldberg Israel Fellowship
The Albert B. Ratner and Jack and Esther Goldberg Israel Fellowship recognizes two outstanding teachers in Cleveland Jewish schools. One day school teacher and one supplementary school teacher will be awarded up to $3000 for advanced study in Israel.
The award will help defray tuition and travel expenses. Travel and study plans must first receive prior approval from the JEC Executive Director. The recipient
must use the award within a four-year period.
Any teacher with a minimum of five years teaching in a JEC affiliated school with appropriate teaching credentials and a commitment to continue teaching for a minimum of two years, is eligible for nomination. This teacher must display a positive impact on students as a role model.
This is a director nominated award. A confidential written letter of nomination, to demonstrate teaching excellence and overall contribution to the school, is required.
Each nominee must have a classroom observation.
